Why have a WCB Online account

If you have a claim with your employer, you can use WCB Online to:

  • Submit forms (such as travel expenses, direct deposit sign-up, and appeal forms)

  • Monitor your claim process, including payments

  • Securely ask questions and get answers about your claim

When accessing WCB Online using a mobile device, it may be necessary to rotate the screen to landscape to view and utilize all features.


Create your account

You will need your claim number and health card to register.

  1. Go to wcb.ns.ca and select WCB Online

  2. Select Login for workers

  3. Select Sign Up and follow the steps

  4. Enter your claim number, health card number, and date of birth

  5. Enter your email (which will also be your username)

  6. Create a password that has

    • 8 characters

    • 1 uppercase and 1 lowercase letter

    • At least 1 number

  7. Accept the terms of use and select Create Account

  8. Update your profile information. If you want to update your name, you must contact WCB either by phone (number below) or secure messaging.

If you are resetting your WCB Online account password, the password requirements outlined in Step 6 above apply. Also, it cannot match any previous passwords used.
